Visibility on verge

I refer once again to the verge on the Wootton-Cumnor Road (B4017), the length opposite the Bystander pub. This is not the first time I am referring this to you because all of us exiting The Willows and the Cumnor Road collection of houses, feel that there’s an accident waiting to happen when no-one is cutting the verge down during the season’s growth period. The vision of the road to north is severely impaired so exiting onto the main road is extremely dangerous. I already strimmed this area down once 4 weeks ago and my wife took shears twice previously and again over this morning because it was increasingly necessary to do so. A neighbour is now dragging his lawnmower across the area. It’s not just the 1-metre stretch parallel to the road that needs attention but the whole width up to at least 3/4 of the way up. My wife and I are in our mid-70s and this is not and should not be our responsibility but yours; should there be an accident as a result of your non-activity on the matter, you will only have yourself to blame. Whilst the access area to the community centre has its grass cut why is this stretch being ignored? Cutting once a year is simply not enough. Please commit to getting this done early next week and every 3 weeks until the grass has stopped growing. I would also request that you diarise this annually as a priority from the beginning of May and every 3 weeks thereafter every year. We look forward to your reply and your action on this matter.
