Overgrown weeds reducing visibility
Reported via desktop anonymously at 09:02, Tue 11 June 2024
Sent to Oxfordshire County Council and Vale of White Horse District Council 1 minute later
Overgrown weeds by the wall of the house on the corner of Oxford Road/ Picklers Hill are obscuring visibility for traffic turning out of Picklers Hill into the Oxford Road. Cars have to edge out into traffic to get a clear view. Particularly dangerous if there are oncoming cyclists and as it is also near the bus stop. Please cut back as soon as possible.

Thank you for your enquiry. Oxfordshire County Council, as the Highway Authority, is ultimately responsible for the maintenance of grass verges alongside the carriageway network throughout Oxfordshire (excluding motorways and trunk roads). Under our new approach, all roadside verges in both rural and urban areas are cut once a year. If necessary, we will trim areas that impede driver visibility more regularly. For more details, you can refer to our Highway Verge and Vegetation Management policy at https://www.oxfordshire.gov.uk/ sites/ default/ files/ file/ roads-and-transport-major-projects/ grasscuttingpolicy.pdf
