Investigating
Temporary traffic lights

Traffic lights here for several days but no work is being carried out and nothing looks like it needs doing. There are no potholes or other road damage that needs fixing. The cars coming west to east aren't allowing the cars going east/ west to turn left up Hagbourne hill. Whilst I appreciate they have right of way, I'm sure they can allow filtering in of the waiting traffic. So near to a roundabout, there could be a situation where the traffic wanting to go up Hagbourne hill is unable to move.

I live at the bottom of the hill. The traffic lights were in place for approx 24 hours causing considerable delay and inconvenience for hundreds of vehicles. The lights were put in place by Thames Water to allow an operative to apply a small quantity of top soil to a filled-in hole on the verge (that no-one can see from the road, and that would have recovered naturally), following a bit of digging some weeks ago. He then sprinkled some grass seed on the area. No wonder Thames Water has no money.

These lights are back and causing delays and blocking of the roundabout, absolutely NO work is going on and no people seen at the site. These need to be visited today and removed ASAP.

Traffic lights have been put in the road by Thames Water simply to provide them with a parking space when they are working in a hole that they have dug, some distrance from the kerb. They are not working on the road. Lights have caused hundreds of vehicles to be delayed and inconvenienced. It's ridiculous over-egging of Thames Water's parking requirements - they could park on the verge, which is very wide, or ask the local farm if they could park in the nearby farm yard.
