Newly painted arrows are wrong

Reported via desktop in the Road Markings category anonymously at 10:07, Sun 9 June 2024

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council 1 minute later

On the newly resurfaced road into Abingdon, there have been arrows painted instructing drivers to merge into the left lane. These used to exist some years ago, but were removed. The contractor has reinstated them, but the road does not narrow here and it is actually appropriate for drivers to stay in the right lane if they intend to turn right at the roundabout. Making people go into the left lane will cause confusion and make congestion worse.
