Juntion visibility

Reported via mobile in the Grass category anonymously at 16:17, Sat 8 June 2024

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council 1 minute later

Junction of Eton Close to Stanton Harcourt Road still has visibility lacking. One side the grass was cut but not enough to see clearly oncoming traffic and the other side not at all!!. The pedestrian access at two points along the Stanton Harcourt needs clearing. Overgrown hedgerow obstructing view also needs cutting back.

  • Thank you for your enquiry. Oxfordshire County Council, as the Highway Authority, is ultimately responsible for the maintenance of grass verges alongside the carriageway network throughout Oxfordshire (excluding motorways and trunk roads). Under our new approach, all roadside verges in both rural and urban areas are cut once a year. If necessary, we will trim areas that impede driver visibility more regularly. For more details, you can refer to our Highway Verge and Vegetation Management policy at https://www.oxfordshire.gov.uk/ sites/ default/ files/ file/ roads-and-transport-major-projects/ grasscuttingpolicy.pdf
