All drainage gullies blocked.

Reported via mobile in the Blocked Drain / Gully category anonymously at 16:43, Fri 31 May 2024

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council 1 minute later

On the B471, from the junction of Hill Bottom Road, all the way to the River Thames at Whitchurch, almost every gully is blocked. Whenever I report this all I get is that this problem will be dealt with during routine drain cleaning. Over the past 5 years at least, I have not seen any attention, many of the gullies cannot be even seen any more! Clearing the gullies must only be part of the issue, an end to end flush of the whole system must be needed. I assume that drainage eventually ends up in the River Thames??

  • This issue is still waiting for the relevant department to inspect. Nothing has been done. Whitchurch High Street is prone to flooding especially adjacent to the Greyhound public house. We wait for the next heavy rain fall with interest. You have been told.
