Badly blocked drain yet again

This seems to happen at least once a year and consequently our Grade 2* houses floods every spring until the drain is unblocked. Pretty unacceptable that we are tasked with protecting our house but the council still won’t maintain the drains causing continual damage at our cost.

    It’s now September and with heavier rains ahead we are back to using sandbags And the water floods into the house w regularity. The narrow concrete drains near the property cannot handle the volume of water in a downpour and the drain next door is clogged to the top now worse than ever. We shouldn’t have to chase multiple times every year to ask for this basic upkeep. We have been told by many OCC contractors that the drains need updating. We wait anxiously in hopes this may someday happen ?!
