Completely blocked drains

Reported via desktop in the Blocked Drain / Gully category by Toby Whale at 14:38, Friday 24 May 2024

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later

Completely blocked drains causing flooding of Rectory lane. This has led to the potholes that have been mended. There is still a constant stream of flowing water and large areas of standing water covering the Lane because the drain is blocked. This is then running down the road into the ditch and causing flooding. Needs urgent gully cleansing/fixing.

  • There are still potholes and running water. Unless the leaking/blocked drain is fixed (further up where the water is coming from) the newly “filled” potholes (terrible job) will come back and the ones that are still there will get bigger. Before February there was no standing or running water.

  • Potholes are starting to open up again. I assume they were filled temporarily before the whole section is re tarmaced once the running water leak is fixed!!??
