The hedges urgently need trimming. The path is already very narrow and is now almost impassable with a push chair

The cycle/foot path from Abingdon to Culham (A415) Science park is now becoming a joke with regards to over grown grass and hedgerow. It is near impossible for two people to pass by each other and in some places only narrow enough for one.

Thank you for your enquiry. Oxfordshire County Council, as the Highway Authority, is ultimately responsible for the maintenance of grass verges alongside the carriageway network throughout Oxfordshire (excluding motorways and trunk roads). Under our new approach, all roadside verges in both rural and urban areas are cut once a year. If necessary, we will trim areas that impede driver visibility more regularly. For more details, you can refer to our Highway Verge and Vegetation Management policy at https://www.oxfordshire.gov.uk/ sites/ default/ files/ file/ roads-and-transport-major-projects/ grasscuttingpolicy.pdf
