Low hanging Ivy and branches over a pavement

Reported via mobile in the Report a tree problem category anonymously at 15:46, Tue 21 May 2024

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later

The Folly Orchard land owned by South Oxfordshire Housing Association (SOHA) has a tree / hedge on it that is covered in ivy. The ivy is overhanging the pavement at a low enough level that anyone over 5ft5 has to duck or go onto the road to avoid getting hit in the face. As is it a requirement that anything overhanging a footway must be at least 2.3m above the footway, cycleway, verge and 5.2m above the road surface, please can this be cut back. The pavement surface is already bad enough on this stretch so the overhang will only accelerate the deterioration of already terrible pavement surface. Please can this be directed to SOHA to address as soon as possible. Thank you.
