Large patch of Giant Hogsweed

Reported via mobile anonymously at 14:38, Tue 21 May 2024

Sent to Cherwell District Council and Oxfordshire County Council 1 minute later

There are a number of patches of Giant Hogsweed growing within the nature reserve. There is a particularly large patch of this dangerous and invasive plant near the Orpine Close entrance. These plants have gone from being the odd one to a large patch over the past couple of years. The sap of Giant Hogsweed is dangerous and the plant itself is an invasive species that is controlled waste, so cannot be removed without a licence.
