Drain opposite 24 Rectory Lane

Reported via desktop in the Damaged Gully or Catchpit Ironwork category anonymously at 12:04, Sun 19 May 2024

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council 1 minute later

Following my report earlier this month, I note that this drain was cleaned last week (when I was away) - and that most of the potholes in the lane were filled. Thank you !

However, the problem with the drain opposite number 24 Rectory Lane remains as I can see that the 'unit' under the grille has not been changed. As I have reported over the last four years, when there is a serious downpour of rain (even lasting for several minutes) the present drainage 'bowl' cannot cope and the lane floods in this area - and number 24 is in danger of being flooded. OPC reported last year to OCC that the 'bowl unit' was incorrect and needed to be changed.

Please can this be done asap. Thank you in advance.
