Long grass, complete blind spot on A417

I had a crash today due to the long grass blocking all visibility.

While waiting for the AA I saw numerous near misses as the cars tried to leave the recycling centre. This is a serious risk.

Oxfordshire County Council, as the Highway Authority, is ultimately responsible for the maintenance of grass verges alongside the carriageway network throughout Oxfordshire (excluding motorways and trunk roads). Under our new approach, all roadside verges in both rural and urban areas are cut once a year. If necessary, we will trim areas that impede driver visibility more regularly.
