Public road totally overgrown

Reported via mobile in the Roads and Carriageways category anonymously at 17:32, Saturday 11 May 2024

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later

This section of Old Reading Road, just North of the Mongewell roundabout up to Newnham Manor Farm is on the highways Register of roads maintained by Oxfordshire County Council. The tarmac is barely visible having been overgrown by the verges either side. It’s still possible to see the central white line and even cat’s eyes in places. North of the farm the road continues to Crowmarsh in good condition. Thie southern section should be cleared and restored back to the tarmac. It would make a great link from Mongewell and villages to the south for active travel (walking, cycling) to Crowmarsh and Wallingford.
