30mph repeater needed
Reported via desktop in the Traffic Signs category anonymously at 13:53, Friday 10 May 2024
Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later
With a blind bend, and no pavement or crossing point, it's hard to leave Guild Close or Thorney Leys housing estates on foot or by car due to speeding traffic. When the Thorney Leys road used to be 40mph there was a 30mph sign just before the houses, however now the whole road is 30mph, the speeding has actually got far worse as people drive 40mph and over past Guild Close.

Thank you for your enquiry. The presence of street lighting columns on a carriageway indicates a speed limit of 30mph, with the lighting columns serving as repeater signs unless stated otherwise.
