Investigating
Visibility at the junction compromised.
Reported via mobile in the Grass category anonymously at 15:46, Monday 6 May 2024
Sent to Oxfordshire County Council 1 minute later
There is a constant problem at this junction during the growing season and efforts should be made to cut the verges either side on a monthly basis at this time of the year. Traffic levels are high which makes moving out onto this road dangerous due to fast moving traffic from the Sires Hill junction

As the Earth Trust have a summer festival event which will attract 100s of visitors over the weekend I suggested that they could perhaps cut some of the vegetation back to improve safety. They kindly did that but it needs a heavier cut and that needs to be done monthly during the growing season. Still a problem!!!

I reported this on 6 May (report ref 5937584) that visibility on both sides of this junction were severely compromised with traffic approaching from Sires Hill direction travelling at speed. The verges were cut but in my report I suggested this should be a monthly cut during the growing season. The sight lines are again compromised and I'm aware of two recent incidents where a near miss has occurred . My son who's a recently qualified driver takes an alternative route out of the village specifically to avoid this junction as do a number of other residents. A cut needs to be carried out immediately.
