The hedge on LHS carriageway after the petrol station in Bloxham is very overgrown and poses a risk to seeing oncoming traffic when turning right at the triangle

Reported via desktop in the Hedges category anonymously at 10:55, Mon 29 April 2024

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council 1 minute later

The hedgerow on the left hand side of the carriageway after the Bloxham petrol station has become very overgrown and as someone who regularly has to turn right at the green triangle into Cumberford this poses a risk as it is very difficult to see oncoming traffic (fine when the drivers are sticking to the 20 Mph limit but harder when they come round at 30 mph); this is a dangerous spot as it is on the A361 and cutting back the hedge would improve the visibility and safety. Thank you

  • Attached photos of the overgrown hedges on LHS of the carriageway that make seeing oncoming traffic when turning right at the triangle difficulty. Normally this hedgerow is cut and I have never seen it this overgrown in the last 14 years.
