Potholes on Back Lane beyond a joke

Reported via desktop in the Pothole category anonymously at 19:46, Sunday 28 April 2024

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later

The road surface was damaged by heavy trucks during the construction of Aspen House. Despite numerous reports, nothing has been done. How much longer is it going to take OCC to do something about it?

Council ref: ENQ241002612

  • Still not repaired the increasingly large holes, we are aware this road is maintained by Highways agency and not privately owned as suggested.

  • Thank you for your report and apologies for the delay in a response. Could you please let us know if this is still an issue or if this has now been repaired? If this is still an issue, if possible and safe to do so, could you please provide any new images and detailed location information of the issue so we can get this raised for repair faster. Many thanks and kind regards

  • The worst of the potholes have been patched up, but there is still one deep one and several shallow ones which haven't. The worst one is at SP3395903335 (What3words ///screening.expand.rear). Really the whole of Back Lane needs to be resurfaced.
