Pavement damaged by gas contractor Wales and West

Reported via desktop in the Footways and Pavement damage category anonymously at 16:11, Friday 26 April 2024

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later

Wales and West have recently completed gas works in the Pines, Faringdon. They have left the pavement area at the end of the cul de sac in a very poor state. This area was used by the contractor as a spoil storage area and the surface of the pavement and road has been damaged by their grab trucks. I would hope that this issue has already been picked up by OCC as a defects correction issue under their contract. It cannot be right that private contractors are allowed to damage pavements like this especially when public money for street repairs is so limited.
