Chunks of tar chippings

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council and South Oxfordshire District Council 1 minute later

The contractors have re surfaced that stretch yesterday. They have left what look like piles of chippings, but are actually chunks of tar and chippings stuck to the surface.

Even at the temporary 20 mph, if you hit one of these lumps in the road, it’s enough to take out your tyres.

There are several areas like this along the bit they have surfaced. They need to come back and sort it, as it’s dangerous. Really poor job !

  • Thank you for your enquiry & please accept our apologises for the later response. The carriageway has since been mechanically swept at least 2 times, removing any excess chippings & we believe the issues have now been resolved.
