Sheet metal been placed over utilities manhole
Reported via desktop in the Manhole category anonymously at 14:16, Fri 5 April 2024
Sent to Oxfordshire County Council 7 minutes later
I work for OCC and we have contractors on site at the moment, they have walked further up the road to the corner near the lights down to Steventon and found this piece of sheet metal covering a manhole.
Its in a very dangerous state as its not even weighted down so has the potential to move into the carriageway and cause an incident.
It needs to be made safe asap.

Thank you for bringing this matter to our attention. We are already aware of the issue and are actively investigating based on the initial report. The cover is still there and fairly weighty but we will establish which contractor this asset belongs to and ask them to repair.
