TOTALLY blocked drain

Reported via desktop in the Blocked Drain / Gully category by Elizabeth Wheeldon at 18:30, Thursday 4 April 2024

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council 1 minute later

This drain has been complete blocked for several months, causing flooding on Moor Lane and excessive silt and mud build up in and around the drain and well beyond. This is a long term, known problem which needs regular attention but in spite of being reported a number of times nothing is being done about it. This afternoon a ninety year old and his 85+ year old neighbour, together with a 76 year old, all residents of Moor Lane, spent two hours doing their best to clear the worst of the mud that has build up on the road outside their homes but with little effect. Shame on you Oxfordshire Council.

  • And this is what happens when we have very heavy rain.

  • This has still not been addressed. The aforementioned drain has not been serviced for an entire year now. There is a co sonst flow of water across the road, with dirt and silt, and with the recent heavy rains there is a genuine risk of flooding. OCC please live up to your responsibility. You take the council tax but do not address problems.
