Collapsed roadway

This is not a new issue! Not so long ago, this area of collapsed highway was highlighted with white paint, presumably to indicate to someone that it was to be repaired. However, that paint has long since been washed away, but the collapsed roadway is still there. It covers a large area and is quite deep. Recently, I was nearly hit by a car coming towards me swerving to avoid the hole; so it is a danger.
