A cycling death trap on National Cycle Route 5
Reported via Android in the Pothole category anonymously at 08:30, Wednesday 27 March 2024
Sent to Oxfordshire County Council 1 minute later
I cycled from Abingdon to Oxford yesterday and used this road, Sanford Lane, to get from The Avenue to the cycle past just East of the railway. It was wet and getting dark. I nearly destroyed myself and my bike on the potholes all over it, particularly approaching the railway bridge. This route is a NATIONAL CYCLE ROUTE.
Someone will die here. Please fix it very soon.

There are plenty of photos on the other (flooding) reports reported here, so no need for more photos really. Just turn up at the railway bridge and look at the surface between the pump house (Thames Water) and the bridge, they are somewhat obvious.
