Drive used as lay-bys and potholes

Reported via mobile in the Pothole category anonymously at 17:20, Thu 21 March 2024

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later

Our drive is being used as a layby and the flooding this year has caused potholes and severe damage to verge. Can you let me know whose responsibility it is to fix this please? If it is ours as the owners of the property behind the grey gate then are we permitted to put in some bollards to stop people using it as a pass place and this wearing the gravel so quick?

  • I probably have the wrong location but am an81 year old disabled lady who has difficulty leaving her drive as the entrance to Sandalwood House is constantly flooded when it only rains a little the culver hasn’t been cleaned out used to be done yearly and the drain several years ago now was put up hill so the water never reaches it . Frankly I believe no one cares. I tried ringing but the ladies English was so poor she kept telling me the road was Sandalwood and I tried to tell her that was the name of the house she just didn’t understand. Please ring me if you want more information on 01865407961 Mrs Ann Tomline Thank you
