The white line in the new part of the A44 is on the pavement and not in the road. It is very confusing for motorists in the dark and wet and has resulted in me and numerous other drivers hitting the curb and damaging our wheels. The white line needs to be moved to avoid any serious collisions.

  • I trust that whoever thought this was a good idea will be held liable when there is a serious accident as a result, it really is extremely dangerous in the dark and even more so when it is also wet.

  • Thank you for bringing this matter to our attention. This footway is a shared cycle and pedestrian route, the white lines are to warn cyclists they are nearing the carriageway.
