Please see photo of works carried out over weekend: felling a mature tree out of the avenue forming Footpath 410/ 5/ 10 Newland Mill. Carried out by recent purchaser of nearby house who CHOSE to buy the house in full knowledge of the adjacent trees. PLEASE INVESTIGATE & REPORT BACK (including any sanctions to be taken) !!! ESPECIALLY given potential precedent that may be assumed re all the other mature trees along this Footpath (a major landscape feature and habitat in this area of the town).

  • Thank you for your enquiry. This matter is being investigated. We are currently looking into tree ownership at this location. Additionally we apologise, this matter was only forwarded on to our department last week.
