Zebra crossing no markings and lights not working

Reported via desktop in the Road Markings category anonymously at 14:10, Monday 19 February 2024

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council 1 minute later

The new zebra crossing here has no markings and the lights aren't working. Been a number of near misses here as it isn't clear to drivers if this is a zebra crossing and cyclists just go straight across assuming drivers will stop. The only thing it has is beacons which don't flash. Very dangerous. If this is a new type of cheap way of establishing a crossing point it is very dangerous

  • I have had another reply re. the Pedestrian Crossing on A44, near Cassinton Road at the beginning of Yarnton. You don't answer my latest question but only repeat a previous answer. That it is not a Zebra Crossing. If it is not a Zebra Crossing then the sign on Cassington Road should be changed. I am interested to see that someone else thinks that it is really dangerous where it is, when you can not be sure if the traffic is stopping

  • It is now June, and nothing has been done to complete this crossing. Where are the zebra stripes? When will the Belisha beacons start flashing? It's time the job was completed!
