Ditch/stream needs clearing

Reported via mobile anonymously at 10:00, Monday 19 February 2024

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council and Vale of White Horse District Council 1 minute later

Good Morning Due to all the rainfall I have noticed our ditch/stream in front of our house has water in it (its been dry for many years) What is concerning me is the ditch/stream hasn’t been cleared between the footpaths near Longfurlong school and field for a few years. I can see water is trying to flow there but due to the ditch needing clearing can’t. The field is also flooded and pathway gets flooded so I feel if the ditch was cleared it would really help. So was wondering if it could be cleared please - I understand years ago our house flooded and due to all the flooding in other areas it would be good to help prevent this. Thank you Ann Phillips

  • The alleyway between Boulter Drive and South Avenue is very overgrown with brambles and general foliage. It is also by the back entrance to Long Furlong School. I had problems navigating it at one end with a walking toddler and a buggy. There is a huge danger of getting scratched by the brambles.
