White lines fade and disappear

No white lines as you descend the slope from the main road, fading and then disappearing at the sharp bend at the bottom of the slope, so there are no markings in the centre of the road there, and none on each edge of the road, making it difficult to judge the gap between approaching traffic at the bend, particularly in darkness.
