I have reply about this issue twice and both times I've had this message. Thank you for your report and apologies for the delay in a response. Could you please let us know if this is still an issue or if this has now been resolved? Kind regards, which tells me it hasn't been read and nobody gives a dam. On the second occasion it said it was now closed to updates. I think i got off lucky but to not get any kind of reply is a joke. I would like to think that which ever worker who put i there would have been told and maybe better training is in order. just think how you would feel if this was one of your family. KIND REGARDS

I was cycling to work yesterday 29-1-2024 at 6.40 am. i got as far as the layby when i hit this structure. there is no lighting on this road it is pitch black and you have car headlights shinning in your face. there was no way i was going the see this until it was too late and i hit it . i sustained a cut arm, cut hand, small bump to my head, cut lip, cuts and bruising to my legs and badly bruised thumb. I managed to walk the rest of the way to work at bmw where they said i should go to hospital. I had x-rays and my cuts attended to luckily i had no broken bones. I am now off work due to my injuries. Why was this frame put on a cycle path next to a layby with no lighting to indicate it was there. When lorries are parked on the layby cars wouldn't see the signs anyway. My daughter reported this issue on the phone not long after the incident but got no reply.

  • Apologise for the delay in our reply and for the previous comments replied.

Following investigation into this incident we have learnt that the traffic management was installed as part of the mast base repair works on the Eastern Bypass for United Living. The works were completed overnight on this occasion and the traffic management was set up by a company called first cone. We have informed them of the incident and requested that they take appropriate action so as to ensure that this does not happen again.

    Regards.
