Flooding on road

Reported via desktop in the Flooding on Road category anonymously at 16:38, Monday 12 February 2024

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council 6 minutes later

Two issues that could be considered now are: a) Can easy and quick access to sandbags be set up? Early action could be taken when the Floodline predicts high water. b) Could Highways, together with the Police, restrict vehicular access to flooded roads in future? In January, there was massive concern about selfish motorists driving a speed through the roads, sending tidal waves back into the garages and porches

  • You are expecting way too much of the council. If it takes them months to fill a pothole or clear a drain, how do you expect them to provide sandbags in an emergency situation? Time to elect better councillors.
