Kidlington roundabout cycle diversion signing required

Reported via desktop in the Current Roadworks - live information category by Chris Brennan at 21:34, Sunday 11 February 2024

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later

When travelling by bike from Kidlington to Oxford along National Cycle Network route 51 there needs to be advance warning that the path on the west side of the roundabout is closed. Could there please be a diversion sign to direct southbound pedestrians and cyclists to use the A4260 controlled crossing between The Broadway & Sainsbury's entrance? Currently the first 'path closed' sign is at the roundabout (see photo) and cyclists who don't want to use the narrow traffic lanes on the roundabout have to retrace 275 metres to the controlled crossing. An extra sign would be very helpful, thank you.
