Flooding on road

Reported via desktop in the Flooding on Road category anonymously at 12:19, Friday 9 February 2024

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council 1 minute later

When there is rain this section of road outside the Red Lion pub always floods making it impossible for pedestrians to be able to walk safely as there is no foot path on the other side of the road. My daughter has been unable to access the path without getting splashed or wading to get to her school bus as the road is busy at 8am, that 2 cars try to pass each other through the water, inevitably leading to the path being submerged and splashed.

  • This is getting worse and even small amounts of rainfall this section of road floods and as it is a high use area for pedestrians, especially for children getting to / from school it is causing a serious hazard and regularly people are soaked by cars / vans / trucks driving through.
