Road slump on drain, Crumbling pavement- flooding vital ditch to prevent flooding

Reported via mobile in the Roads and Carriageways category anonymously at 19:11, Monday 22 January 2024

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council 1 minute later

I reported this over a year ago.

I am concerned with the rain levels that the Stonor spring is likely to flood. The ditch as far as I understand is not the property owners responsibility to clear.

The ditch is vital to drainage if the spring floods, and protects the properties from flooding. The section of ditch in front of 3A Middle Assendon is constantly filling up with rainwater and organic matter off the road and out of the drain cover next to the pavement due to slumped road and pavement around the drain cover in front of the property.

The pavement is also breaking away into the ditch, a major trip hazard on a very narrow section of pavement used by many on the street.

This issue needs to be seen to asap. It is clearly visible what the problem is after substantial rain fall, if assessing please visit during or straight after rainfall.
