Rutted and potholed area subject to flooding

Reported via mobile in the Pothole category anonymously at 13:42, Monday 15 January 2024

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council 1 minute later

This is another area of the lane which is often subject to flooding when any significant rainfall occurs. In this case as the picture shows an attempt at a highway cut has been made to drain off the area to adjacent lower ground. However this has become partially obstructed due to detritus in the lane.

The highway cut needs to properly maintain to minimise flooding.

This area again has a number of potholes and is rutted which makes it dangerous for vehicles as they are unable to navigate a safe passage particularly when flooded.

I also reiterate the need for a mechanical sweep to remove detritus from the lane. I travel to my daughters almost every fortnight and I cannot recall ever thinking the lane had been swept.
