Excessive mud on road from construction site
Reported via desktop in the Roads and Carriageways category anonymously at 11:15, Fri 12 January 2024
Sent to Oxfordshire County Council 1 minute later
There is excessive mud on the road from the Legal & General / Cala Homes phase 6 delivery site caused by lorry's entering this compound and leaving without the appropriate cleansing of wheels. An inadequate road sweeper operates sporadically but this merely dilutes and spreads the mud further. With the cold winter conditions, this then freezes making the road dangerous. This has been occurring for around 3 months. The area concerned is the junction of Lady Grove and Burton Agnes Avenue and that whole carriage way leading to the Phase 6 Deliveries entrance,

Our Site Inspector drove round the area today and did not find any mud on the existing highway. If the mud is on the private roads on the new development, this will need to be reported directly to the developer.
