Dangerous footpath

Reported via desktop in the Other Lighting Issue category anonymously at 17:21, Thursday 11 January 2024

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later

After a tree fell in the last storm, the footpath on Heyford Road opposite The Beeches house is unusable because of debris. This forces pedestrians into the road, which is on a bend and hill. Plus the street light was damaged by the fallen tree and is now out of action making it very dark. Rubbish, by way of large plastic bags has been dumped.

Council ref: 5430924

Asset ID: 001A

Unit type: Light

Updated by Oxfordshire County Council at 08:59, Friday 12 January 2024

  • Despite reporting a blocked footpath on 11th January, nothing has been done to clear the footpath and it remains a problem. Pedestrians are still having to walk in the road, which is now in an unlit area, on a bend and hill. If any one is affected by an accident, will the OCC be liable for any injuries claim?
