Investigating
Hazardous Gully
Reported via desktop in the Potholes and maintenance category anonymously at 13:04, Thursday 11 January 2024
Sent to Oxfordshire County Council 1 minute later
Contractors have cut gully's across the cycle path. Some of these have been repaired but not all. This gully has sunken and is a hazard to cyclists on the unlit cycle path. We will have to contact the MP again if this is not repaired. It is on the right hand side when you look towards Oxford.

Still not fixed. Very hard to avoid as it stretches across the whole path. This is very damaging to bikes and also a trip hazard for pedestrians. Please fix it. Westbound side of the a40

There are a number of these gullies on either side of the A49 cycle paths between Witney and the Wolvercote roundabout. They have been reported many times and Robert Courts MP have been involved, but still they remain. If cycling is to be promoted by the various councils, surely this should be addressed. Public money is paying for this shoddy workmanship, that is apparently never checked

There is a large pot hole in the middle of the road somewhere near here. then a smaller one further along towards Oxford. I have noticed this for some time driving into Oxford from ~Witney 15-Mar-2024

Please fix this gully on the cycle path. It has been created by contractors and inadequately filled. Public money has created this hazard. I am unsure why this hazard has not been addressed. WODC promote cycling, the lack of repair indicates this cannot be the case

Still not fixed. As stated, there are several of these gullies that have damaged my bike 3 times. These have been this way for months and it is unacceptable. Fix them.
