Please put markings on the lanes

The roundabout is an accident waiting to happen - I’ve been cut up multiple times by people using the right hand lane to go straight over. I teach people to drive - we teach them to use the left lane to go left and straight over unless the road markings tell you otherwise. All it needs is some arrows in each lane detailing which lane to use! Left lane needs a left and straight arrow and the right lane needs a right arrow - on ALL approaches

The Design Manual for Roads and Bridges (DMRB) does not recommend/require for directional markings to be set out on approaches to roundabouts and encourages vehicles to use the most appropriate lane, hence this design by the Developer has been approved. However, there remains an independent Road Safety Audit to take place once the Relief Road is complete and I will pose the question on whether directional arrows should be added as this process enables this DMRB design requirement to be over ruled.

The roundabout is painted to look like two lanes, it’s too small, narrow for two lanes. It needs marking to either hatch out one side from the wantage side approach or markings showing mabley way only. People are getting cut up thinking it’s two lanes on the roundabout when there’s only room for one car, but markings indicate it’s going to be two lanes
