No signage indicating that this is in fact a cycle path

Reported via desktop in the Suggested improvements category anonymously at 12:01, Sun 17 December 2023

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later

I was surprised to find out in reports in regard to the Christmas market that this is supposed to be a cycle path. There is no signage indicating this. I would suggest putting up a sign telling everyone that this a cycle path and/or drawing some cycles on the street like in Cowley Road etc. At the moment pedestrian walk on there even though there is a perfectly wide pavement for them to walk on. This is dangerous not only for the pedestrian but also for the cyclist. If I swerve to avoid the pedestrians I could be hit by a cycle coming from the other direction as I am on their part of the road. I am ringing my bell when cycling there to alert the pedestrian but I actually got challenged by a pedestrian about this who insisted that the street (cycle path?) is a shared path. If the city wants to get people cycling they should do all to make it safe for them. At the moment pedestrians insisting to walk on the road (cycle path?) is making it dangerous for all. And don't get me started on all the pedestrians not only walking on the roundabout at the height of Turl Street but also just standing there and taking picture or just talking on their smartphone.
