No signs to indicate no thou road

Reported via desktop in the Road Markings category anonymously at 15:44, Sat 16 December 2023

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council 1 minute later

Please may we have some signs by the new bypass at wantage to say that the road that looks like it is open cannot be used to drive all the way to grove. As the sat navs are now telling road users that it is open and nothing is t the wantage end of the road to say it is not complete thank you Rodney

  • The last section that links the 2 ends of WELR together is under construction and is being managed by another department as it is Government funded, we have no input on this. Galliford Try is the main contractor who have advised it should be open by next summer.

  • I see some people are ignoring the road closed signs at the Mably Way roundabout end of this new road and just driving around them.

Don't these people realise that their insurance won't cover them in the event of an accident on a road that is marked as closed?
