Recurring flood that impedes foot traffic

Reported via Android in the Potholes and maintenance category anonymously at 18:34, Tue 12 December 2023

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later

There is a section of cycle path that regularly floods and makes it impassable for pedestrians. The water is a few inches deep and spans the full width of the path. It also causes the verges on both sides to become very swampy so you can't get round the edges. Unfortunately the path has a slope and the lowest side, where the water pools, is on the opposite side to the ditch so the water can't begin to drain away until the whole area is flooded.

  • Water still runs continuously off the field flooding the path and flowing into the ditch on the opposite side. It is too deep to get through without wellies, and the verges are very boggy and slippery.
