Reported via mobile in the Blocked Drain / Gully category by Peter Gilbert at 09:58, Tue 12 December 2023

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later

A pothole team arrived yesterday and filled just some of the serious, long standing potholes on this lane.....but not all of them since many are under the running flood water. Please talk to the team who did the work, to hear what they thought of the road condition.

As much as yesterday's work was urgently needed, please could we have a senior engineer assess the underlying problems with the road? My expectation is that until the drainage is sorted out and then the structure of the road repaired, the surface will always be peppered with potholes and broken edges. And these potholes are causing danger and expense to road users and must be costly to repair.

  • The road from the village of Foscot to Foxholes still has a number of bad potholes. Some potholes were filled recently but a number remain and will be causing damage to vehicles. The ditch down the side of the road no longer allows water to pass down it and so there is constantly water on the road which causes damage to the tarmac. The ditch needs digging out
