POTHOLE 15m length 3 inch deep in places. Somerton Rd

Reported via desktop in the Pothole category anonymously at 17:20, Fri 24 November 2023

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later

This pothole (and series of potholes) is incredibly dangerous, it is on a corner and cars are forced into it particularly at the moment with the increase in traffic flow following the bridge closure at Heyford. There are a series of potholes following this one, along the exit road from North Aston. I'm hearing many locals saying that have had popped tyres, which happened to me with one slightly further along on Tuesday. The pothole that popped mine is even worse but due to positioning and heavy flow of traffic wasn't safe to photograph- they all need fixing!

Whilst waiting for breakdown recovery after my incident on Tuesday, someone else pulled up to photograph one of the series of potholes that had caused her two popped tyres the day before! These are only going to get worse due to the winter months.
