Traffic lights for pedestrians not going green

Reported via desktop in the Traffic Lights (permanent only) category anonymously at 16:47, Mon 20 November 2023

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later

Yesterday a group of us were trying to cross from Parks road to Banbury rd via the pelican cross at the junction with Banbury rd which has 2 lanes of traffic either going to turn L or R onto the banbury rd. After pressing the pelican light buttons on parks rd side then in the middle, they never went to green for pedestrians, even though the traffic was on a red light. In the end we just had to risk it, and as we had someone in our party with a crutch who had difficulty walking it wasn't great. Not sure why they never went to green for pedestrians. Am raising particularly as we would advise children and others to always wait for the green man, but if it doesn't show it increases risk as folk start to just have to guess and hope the traffic doesn't start moving again. Please can these lights be investigated to check they are not faulting. With thanks,
