No warning signs or road markings for ramp

There are no warning signs or road markings to warn drivers of the steep ramp for the pedestrian crossing. This is a safety hazard

  • Thank you for your enquiry. I can confirm ‘hump’ signs are provided on the approaches to the raised table on the Abingdon Road. There are also white triangles painted on the ramps to indicate the presence of them, which is in line with the design standards.

  • The "hump" signs are typically overgrown by the trees. When it is dark and wet the white triangles are barely visible since they are underwater. This is part of a wider problem of vegetation covering road signs which is present across this county and in fact the whole country.
