Public lay-by rendered unusable by local authority

Reported via iOS anonymously at 23:36, Tue 31 October 2023

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council and South Oxfordshire District Council 1 minute later

I am surprised that this topic has been resurrected by yourselves. This was reported in 2021 and the local authority responded by corresponding with our local councillor giving a wooly reason for it being laid to turf and soil with addition of small trees by claiming it was abused, well if being used daily is being abused they have a twisted idea of serving public interests when the council can put up with consistent illegal traveller encampments and then laying on portaloos at cost to local tax payers! Incidentally the man hole that was covered up by the contractors with soil and turfs has never been cleared for Thames water use as was claimed in the response to the councillor, Thames water pump lorries used that man hole daily during times of flooding in the Playhatch area.
