Tree branches totally obscure light so that the path is in TOTAL darkness

Reported via desktop in the Vegetation blocking Street Light category by Marion Haynes at 20:58, Sun 29 October 2023

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later

The tree has grown since light 24 was installed. There is no evidence of a light when walking from Linsdey Drive. It feels very unsafe.

Council ref: ENQ23978790

  • +1 to this. Overgrown trees are almost completely blocking the streetlights of the path on the Eastern side of Peachcroft play area. It feels really unsafe as you can't see obstacles, puddles or people.

  • Please fix this asap, this was reported a month ago & nothing has happened. It is very dangerous as you cannot see where you are going or any obstacles & the path is uneven so a trip hazard.

  • Trees or bushes obscuring a light

The owner of the adjacent property have a tree that is affecting the efficiency of a street light, please write to the owner of the land from which the tree is growing asking for the tree/bush to be trimmed. If no action is taken, please arrange for the trimming and pass the cost on to the owner. (text adjusted from section in https://www.oxfordshire.gov.uk/ residents/ roads-and-transport/ street-maintenance-z/ street-lighting) Thanks.
