A Pavements problem has been found

Reported via desktop in the Footways and Pavement damage category by Oxfordshire County Council at 12:33, Thu 12 October 2023

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council 5 minutes later

A Pavements problem has been found by Oxfordshire County Council. The issue we face is that our house is below street level and the tarmac road level (topped up over time)G is now equal to the dropped kerb height (there is no longer a lip) meaning whenever it rains, the water runs down the road until it reaches our drive and then it floods our driveway, patio and garden. This continued water influx is doing irreparable damage and ripping up the stonework.

  • Thank you for your enquiry. This is with our Maintenance Team to investigate. Our aim is to program some minor works to prevent water leaving the carriageway where the kerbs are low. This may take sometime to resolve due to the quantity of enquiries we are currently dealing with.

    State changed to: Investigation complete
